Yvonne Angell began her scientific career at the
University of Wisconsin in Madison. She received a pharmacy degree and a Ph.D. in
chemistry, and did her post-doctoral work at the University of Minnesota. Her career
in industry includes various research, management and development
roles at Eli Lilly, Wyeth, and Affymax.
She has over 10 years industrial experience in drug discovery research.
She has developed novel peptides, and managed research programs from
the initial hit through lead optimization, preclinical and into the development stage. Her
technical expertise includes the design and synthesis of novel peptide sequences,
architectures, and conjugation strategies to improve lead potency and stability.
In 2008 she started Picotide Technologies.
